With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Albert “Sonny” Sarver Jr., 93, of Park Hills, Kentucky, who left us on June 24, 2026 surrounded by loved ones.
Born on December 19, 1932, to Albert Sarver Sr and Louise Ochs Sarver, Sonny lived a life filled with love for his family, an infectious smile, a bubbling kindness and humor. He loved bowling, fishing, the Cincinnati Reds, Bengals, Nascar, and movies especially westerns. He was often referred to as Uncle Hero by his many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews because he would help you in any way he could.
Sonny retired from GM as a sealer on the assembly line in Norwood, Ohio in 1986 and moved to Florence, Kentucky to live with his sister. He was often found working on many home projects, the houseboat, or fishing with his brother-in-law. In his later years, he was an avid puzzler and bowler on his iPad. Above all, Sonny cherished time with his family.
He is survived by his sister and friend, Barbara Sarver Fichtel, many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Albert (Louise) Sarver, and brothers Carl Schriner Jr, Dalbert Sarver, and Donald Sarver.
The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 from 10:00 am until 12:00 Noon at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, 3614 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, KY 41018. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home. Burial is at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Withamsville, Ohio.
In Lieu of flowers guests are encouraged to donate to the American Cancer Society or charity of your choice.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at St. Elizabeth Hospice for their support.
