Anthony Klein
April 23, 1921 — June 20, 2009
Anthony Joseph Klein, 88, of Elsmere, died Saturday, June 20, at his home. He was a retired Bakery Supervisor with Rubel Baking Company of Cincinnati.
Mr. Klein was a United States Army Veteran, having served as a Staff Sargeant in the South Pacific, Phillipines, and New Guinea during World War II.
He was a member of St. Henry Church, and a former member of both the Elsmere City Council and Elsmere Fire Department.
Survivors include sons, Anthony L. Klein of Elsmere, Larry (Kathleen) Klein of Union, and Greg Klein of Elsmere; grandchildren, Michael Klein of Florence, Mary Holz of Chicago, David Klein of Boone County, Chris Klein of Erlanger, Joseph Klein, Kelly Klein, Elizabeth Klein, and Lauren Klein, all of Union; and great grandchildren, Tyler Holz, Eva Klein, and Chloe Holz.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Herrmann Klein; brothers, Victor Klein and Carl Klein; sister, Anna Rabe; and parents, Anton and Walburga Lautner Klein.
Memorials are suggested to the St. Henry Grade School, 3825 Dixie Highway, Elsmere, KY 41018.
