Bernard Schmidt

Bernard Leonard Schmidt, Jr., of Erlanger died on October 25 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his cherished spouse Patricia Brady Schmidt.

He was the beloved father of Bernard (Silvia) Schmidt, Daniel (Aubrey) Schmidt, and Nicholas (Dana) Schmidt; grandfather of Bianca Schmidt, Daniel Schmidt, Karla Schmidt, Kristina Schmidt, Joseph Schmidt, Strauder Schmidt and Thomas Schmidt; and brother of James F., Daniel G., Stephen, Lynne Noll, and Rosalie McDavid.

A graduate of Villa Madonna College, Notre Dame University and The Ohio State University, he was a Professor of Art at Thomas More College, Edgecliff College and Xavier University. He was also an accomplished sculptor with pieces displayed across the tri-state area and nationally.

In retirement, Bernard, son of the late Bernard, Sr. and Rose Mary Decker Schmidt, traveled extensively, and enjoyed East Coast swing music and dancing.

A Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 31, 2013 at St. Agnes Church, Fort Wright and a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Fort Mitchell. Middendorf –Bullock Funeral Home, Covington is serving the family.
