Betty J. Merrell

Betty J. Merrell, 92, of Burlington, passed away September 5, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood.

Betty was a homemaker and enjoyed crossword puzzles, games, and spending quality time with her great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Larkin Merrell; daughter, Sherry Merrell; daughter in law, Diane Merrell; and parents, Walter, and Mae Leach Sims.

Survivors include a son, Gary Merrell; granddaughter, Cassandra (Johnathan) Dodd; great grandchildren, Hannah, Emily, and Ethan; brother, Leonard Sims; and sister, Jean Gooch.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday September 8, 2023 with a visitation beginning at 12:00 Noon Friday at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Hebron. Interment at Sand Run Cemetery, Hebron.
