Betty Stevens

Betty Lou Stevens, 86, died in her sleep of natural causes October 12, 2013 in Tallahassee, Florida.

Betty was joyfully born to John Frank and Marion Sophie Stevens. She grew up in Kenton County, Kentucky, graduated from Holmes High School and received a Beauticians Certificate from the National School of Cosmeticians in Cincinnati in 1946.

Betty was the proud owner and operator of the Ludlow Beauty Salon on Elm Street in the 1950's and 60's. She loved square dancing and performed on local Cincinnati television as well.

After marrying, she moved to Oceanside, California in the late 60's where she continued hair styling. She adopted several dogs into their forever home, having a special affection for Chihuahuas.

Betty is survived by her brother, Frank H. Stevens of Tallahassee; her nephew, Mark A. Stevens and his descendants of Dubuque, Iowa and her niece, Ann M. Reams of Tallahassee.

Betty will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Erlanger, at 3:00 PM on October 18, 2013. Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Ludlow, is serving the family.
