Dorothy Battaglia

Dorothy Aline Wood Battaglia of Union, formerly of Erlanger and Covington, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2013.

Dorothy was born on July 15, 1920 in Covington. She retired from the Internal Revenue Service in Covington and also worked at the Northern Kentucky Visitors Bureau. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Covington, the Captain John Lillard Chapter and National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Battaglia in 1965.

Survivors include her son, Joseph Battaglia and daughter in law, Joyce Battaglia of Union; three grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brother, Jim Wood of Naples, Florida; sisters, Sandy Musick (Wood) of Wellston, Ohio, and Faye McCartney (Wood) and Susie Johnny Campbell (Wood), both of Jackson, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation is Thursday, December 19, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Erlanger. Funeral Service to follow at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home. Interment at Mother Of God Cemetery.
