Fred Richardson

Fred M. Richardson, 86, of Ludlow, passed away at Highland Crossing in Fort Wright on Saturday, May 2, 2015.

He was a member of Sts. Boniface and James Catholic Church in Ludlow, a Navy veteran who served on the USS Duluth during the end of World War II, and an avid UK basketball fan.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Barbara, in 2009; and a son, Randy, in 2008.

Fred retired from the Rainbo Bread Company as a route salesman for 24 years in 1990. He then went to work for AirServ as a curbside helper for the Delta Airlines Skycaps for the next 19 years, finally retiring at the age of 80.

He is survived by a son, Jeffrey (Janet) Richardson of Ludlow; granddaughter, Amy Richardson of Ludlow; and grandson Eric (Jeanette) Richardson of Taylor Mill.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Sts. Boniface and James Catholic Church in Ludlow. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, in Erlanger. Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home Ludlow, is handling funeral arrangements.
