Gloria Marqua

Gloria Ann (Jones) Marqua, 72, of Independence passed away Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Hospice of St. Elizabeth, Edgewood following a brief illness.

Born October 24, 1949, to Donald and Audrey (Meiman) Jones in Norfolk, Virginia, Gloria was retired from JP Flooring. She was a member of the John R. Little VFW Post #3186 of Southgate and enjoyed diamond painting with her husband, Mike.

She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Anthony Marqua in 1996; her parents; and siblings, Sandy Dishon, Ronald Jones and Teresa Wolfe.

Surviving is her husband of 52 years, Michael A. Marqua; daughters, Michelle Lynn (Kelly) Biddle and Marita Ann (Mike) Cable; four grandchildren, Brittany (Nick) Combs, Brandon Biddle, Justin Owen and Josh Creech; her first great grandchild is on the way; sister, Donna (Jeff) Henn; and brothers, Rodney (Vickie) Jones and Dale Jones.

Visitation is from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 20, 2022, at St. John Church, 627 W. Pike Street, Covington. Mass of Christian Burial to immediately follow at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the church. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Fort Mitchell. Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home is serving the family.
