H. Dawson Lancaster

H. Dawson Lancaster, 93, of Union, Kentucky died on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family. 

Dawson was born on July 23, 1932, in Burlington, Kentucky to the late Chester Lee and Gertrude Lee (Marks) Lancaster. He served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army Company D 67th Tank Division and was a lifelong member of the Burlington Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and on many committees over the years. Dawson retired as a Service Technician after 39 years of service with Cincinnati Bell. He was a member of the Burlington/Union F & AM Masonic Lodge. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Kleintank Lancaster on January 23, 2025; his parents, Chester and Gertrude Lancaster; sisters, Bernice Parker and Ruth Skelton; and brothers, Everett Lancaster and Warren Lancaster. 

Survivors include his sons, Ellwood Lancaster, Douglas Lancaster and Steven (Michele) Lancaster; grandchildren, Kayla Lancaster and Jesse Lancaster; and great grandchildren, Kinsley Rae Lancaster and Crue Rowan Lancaster. 

Visitation is 10:00 am to 11:45 am, Monday, August 4, 2025, at the Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Hebron. Masonic Rites begin at 11:45 am and funeral services will immediately follow at 12:00 Noon. Interment with military honors will be in Burlington Cemetery, Burlington, Kentucky.
