H.S. Faulconer, Jr

H.S. “Duke” Faulconer, Jr., 88, of Erlanger, passed away at his home on Friday, January 15, 2016.

Duke was born in Covington, Kentucky, to the late Herman S., Sr., and Willa Jett Faulconer. He graduated from Holmes High School and Eastern Kentucky State College, where he was voted “Mr. Popularity” as a senior. He was a World War II Army veteran serving in the Phillipines and Korea.

He was a Finance Manager for 33 years with Celotex Corporation in Cincinnati, Ohio, founding member of TANK serving on the board 23 years, volunteer for Elsmere Senior Center Meals on Wheels program, cooking team member for Parish Kitchen, served on the Bread Run for Parish Kitchen and Welcome House, a lover of UK basketball, children and animals, and a member of Lakeside Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Cooper Faulconer; daughters, Angie (Tom) Klein of Moon Township, Pennsylvania, and Kathy (Jeff) Goldenberg of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, David (Angela) Klein, Dan and Adam Klein, Zoe and Maya Goldenberg; and two great grandchildren, Nathan and Bradley Klein.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at Lakeside Presbyterian Church, 2690 Dixie Highway, Lakeside Park, KY, from 1 p.m. until the Funeral Service at 2 p.m. Burial in Highland Cemetery, Fort Mitchell, Kentucky.
