Irene Howard
September 6, 1933 — January 31, 2017
Irene Deatherage Howard, 83, of Independence passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday evening, January 31, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Edgewood. She was a merchandiser for American Greetings with nearly 30 years of service and a dedicated employee up to the day of her passing.
Irene enjoyed attending the St. Henry Bingo on a regular basis and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Dorothy Hale Deatherage and a daughter, Connie Spencer, who died in 2008.
Survivors include her husband, Larry D. Howard of Independence; daughter, Karen Wells of Greendale, Indiana; brother, Charles Deatherage of Erlanger; grandchildren, Katrina Martin, Billy Wells, Matthew Wells, Richard Crimmins, Jason Cornett and Aaron Hopple; and great grandchildren, Kyah Martin, Logan Wells, Andrew Wells, Gabe Wells, Draven Hopple and Anthony Cornett.
Visitation is Saturday, February 4, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Hebron. Funeral services to immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Sand Run Cemetery, Hebron.
