Jack Hitt Fowler, 84, of Florence, passed away Tuesday morning, April 19, 2016 with his family by his side at Hospice of St. Elizabeth, Edgewood.
He was a retired Major in the United States Air Force, having served in Vietnam. Following his military career, he then worked for the Army Air Force Exchange System (AAFES). He received his B.B.A. from the University of Denver and his Paralegal Degree from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks.
Jack was a member of the Hebron Lutheran Church, the Florence F&AM Masonic Lodge # 949, Covington Scottish Rite, Sigma Pi Epsilon, Alpha Kappa Si and past Royal Patron Order of the Amaranth, Fairbanks, Alaska.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond F. Fowler, Sr. and Mary Hitt Fowler.
Survivors include his wife, Eunice Arnold Fowler of Florence; daughter, Karen (Anthony) Stickrod Hacker of Burlington; sons, Gary Fowler and Gregory Fowler, both of Lakeside Park and Barry (Julie) Fowler of Tucson, Arizona; and grandchildren, Reece Fowler, Madison Stickrod, Faith Hacker, MaryGrace Fowler, Keaira Stickrod and Emily Fowler.
Visitation is Friday, April 22, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Hebron. A second visitation is scheduled for Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Hebron Lutheran Church, Hebron. Funeral services, with military honors, to immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. at the church.
