James D. “Jim” Nussbaum, Sr., 73, of Erlanger died Sunday, May 11, 2025, surrounded by his family at his home.
Jim was born in Covington, Kentucky on July 1, 1951, to Charles and Velma (Knochelmann) Nussbaum. He was a retired Purchasing Supervisor for General Electric, Evendale, Ohio and was a member of Mother of God Church, Covington. Jim enjoyed hunting, gardening, cooking, looking for bargains at yard sales, and the occasional visit to a casino.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Velma Nussbaum; a sister, Karen Gagel; brother, Jeff Nussbaum; father-in-law, James Blackburn; mother-in-law, Julia Blackburn; brother-in-law, Gary Blackburn; and sister-in-law, Margie Blackburn.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Virginia M. “Ginny” (Blackburn) Nussbaum; daughters, Jamie (Jay) Loveless and Melissa Bryson; sons, Jimmy (Maja) Nussbaum, II, Daniel Nussbaum and Jonathan (Morgan) Nussbaum; sister, Catherine (Steve) Cappel; brothers, Chuck (Janice) Nussbaum, Kenny (Kim) Nussbaum, Gary (Linda) Nussbaum, Greg Nussbaum; six grandchildren; sister-in-law, Diana Blackburn; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at the Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Erlanger. Funeral services immediately follow at 2:00 pm.
