Jean Nevel

Jean Marie Wood Nevel, 88, of Hebron died Friday, May 30, 2014 at her home.

Born October 30, 1925 in Covington to the late John and Marie Sweitzer Wood, Jean was retired as the secretary of Hebron Lutheran Church, where she was also a member. She was also a past president of the Connor Band Boosters and the Eastern Star.

Jean's hobbies included reading and cooking and she loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Fred C. Nevel; daughters, Claudia Nevel of Fort Worth, Texas and Nancy (David) Stephenson of Hebron; grandchildren, Elizabeth Johnson and James Stephenson; and great grandchildren, Vivian Johnson, Wyatt Johnson, Jack Stephenson, and Samuel Stephenson.

Visitation is Tuesday, June 3, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Hebron. Funeral Service is Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Hebron Lutheran Church, Heborn. Reverend Dave Shockey officiating. Interment at Hebron Lutheran Cemetery.
