Joy Durbin

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our father's beloved wife and our mother, Joy Lynn Durbin. 

Joy Lynn passed away at the young age of 61. She joined her family in heaven on February 10, 2024. Joy Lynn passed surrounded by her loved ones after a yearlong battle with pancreatic cancer. She fought until the very end. 

She was a wonderful, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Joy never met a stranger. She was selfless and always put her family first. 

She is survived by her husband, Michael Durbin; daughters, Amber Jacobs (Michael) and Andrea Botkin (Mark); son, Newton “Ryan” Current; 10 grandchildren; sister, Dixie Searp; brothers, Jamie Barnett and Sonny Barnett (Sam); brother in laws, John Hunt, Harold “Genie” Durbin, Jeff Durbin (retired Msgt.), and Shawn Durbin; sisters in law, Bethann Durbin, Kelly Chiarini, Kim Garner and Peggy Durbin; as well as many nieces and nephews and too many friends to count. 

Joy Lynn touched every life she encountered, she had a light and warmth within her that just made everything better when she was around. She will be greatly missed. 

The Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home in Ludlow.
