Kristen Nicole Ellis, 39 of Norwood, Ohio, formerly of Hebron, Kentucky, passed away peacefully following surgery on July 21, 2017.
Kristen was born May 27, 1978 at Good Samaritan Hospital to her loving parents, Mary Hunter Ellis and Dennis Ray Ellis of Hebron, Kentucky. She was born with Spina Bifida and faced several years of surgeries and illnesses. Kristen’s adorable smile and blonde curly hair landed her the title of poster child for the March of Dimes at the age of 3 ½. She traveled all over the country to help raise money for children with disabilities with her family.
One of the most memorable trips was going to meet President Ronald Reagan and First Lady Nancy Reagan. She took a very special gift for them! A Bouvier puppy who would later be called Lucky. The Reagans loved the presidential pooch very much!
Kristen truly loved country music and one of her favorite artists was Brantley Gilbert. She was an avid animal lover and adored wolves and watching A & E Network. Kristen graduated from Connor High School in 1997. She will be missed by many and was loved very much.
Kristen was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Hunter Ellis; her maternal grandparents, Ruth Stark Hunter and Milton Hunter; paternal grandparents, Edward Ellis and Reba Price Ellis.
Survivors include her father, Dennis Ray Ellis and step mother, Linda Ellis of Bardstown, Kentucky; sister, Robyn Ellis (Michael) Howell of Walton; brother, Troy (Julia) Ellis of Florence; nephews, Bradley, Ryan, Dustin, Vincent and Thaddeus; nieces, Laura, McKinzie and Bria; boyfriend, Jon Hollon of Norwood, Ohio; and multiple aunts, uncles and cousins.
Graveside Service is Friday, July 28, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Hebron Lutheran Cemetery, Hebron. Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Hebron is serving the family.
