Larry Burns, Sr.

Larry Burns Sr., 61, of Petersburg, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Florence. He was retired after 27 as a labor-operator, truck driver with Boone County Public Works Department and was a former captain of the Petersburg Volunteer Fire Department. Larry enjoyed decorating for all holidays and running equipment.

He was preceded in death by son, Larry Dayl Burns Jr.; parents, Edwin Aylor and Harriet Lucille Jarboe Burns; and brother, Bob Burns.

Survivors include his loving wife of almost 42 years, Jennifer F. Voss Burns; son, Michael J. (Casie) Burns; daughter, Amanda (Scot) Merrell; son, Dustin Burns; brothers, Butch Burns, Eddie Burns and Ronnie (Judy) Burns; sisters, Sandy Koching, Pam (Ronnie) Fleek and Toni (Tina) Burns-Adams; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is Tuesday, September 24, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Hebron. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at the funeral home. Interment at Petersburg Cemetery, Petersburg, Kentucky.
