Lee Henson

Lee Allen Henson, 85, of Hebron passed away Friday, February 20, 2026 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Williamstown, Kentucky. 

Lee was born on August 15, 1940, in Ludlow, Kentucky to the late Arthur S. and Grace (Vandventer) Henson. He was a graduate of Boone County High School where he excelled at sports. Lee attended the University of Kentucky where he was a Fullback and Offensive Lineman for the University of Kentucky Football team. 

He was a longtime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Hebron Ward, a huge sports fan and a member of the R.C. Durr YMCA. 

Lee was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce (Powers) Henson on April 2, 2018; his parents, Arthur and Grace Henson; son, Michael “Mickey” Henson; sisters, Jeannine Hudson and Sue Carol Henson; brothers, George W. Henson, E. Thomas Henson, Robert E. Henson and James A. Henson; brother-in-law, William Ogden; and daughter in law, Rhonda Henson. 

Survivors include a son, David Henson; daughter in law, Lisa Henson; sister, Karen Kate Ogden; seven grandchildren, Jamie Reams, Amanda (Tommy) Freeman, Brittany Tower, David (Olivia) Henson, Chris (Nikki) Royalty, Tiffany (Joshua Thurlkill) Henson, and Katelynn (Jacob) Williams; 27 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren. 

Visitation is 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at the Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, 1833 Petersburg Road, Hebron, Kentucky. Funeral services to follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment in Sand Run Cemetery, Hebron.
