Luticia Jones

Luticia Ann (Marksberry) Jones, 87, of Burlington, Kentucky passed away surrounded by her family at her daughter’s home on Sunday, January 4, 2026. 

Born on January 28, 1938, in Sparta, Kentucky to the late Richard and Thelma (Clark) Marksberry, Luticia was a homemaker. She was a member of Sparta Baptist Church, Sparta, and attended Bullittsville Christian Church, Burlington. Luticia was a dog lover and enjoyed reading. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Jones in 2021; son, Ronald Jones; and her parents, Richard and Thelma Marksberry. 

Survivors include her daughter, Luticia M. “Tish” (Tommy) Thompson; sons, James Darrell Jones, Larry Richard Jones and Paul David (Melinda) Jones; brother, Garnett (Margaret) Marksberry; sister, Mary Marksberry; two grandchildren, Anastasia Jones and Johanna Jones; and a great grandson, Maverick Jones. 

Visitation is 10:00 am to 11:00 am Thursday, January 8, 2026, at the Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, 1833 Petersburg Road, Hebron. Funeral services to follow at 11:00 am. Interment will be in I.O.O.F Cemetery, New Liberty, Kentucky.
