Mattie Jane (Champlin) Kirby, 88, of Florence passed away at her home on Sunday September 5, 2021, surrounded by her family following a brief illness.

Mattie was born on August 25, 1933, to William and Ila Alice Hodges Champlin in Petersburg, Kentucky. She worked for many years for Parlor Grove Farms and she enjoyed cooking, puzzle and word search books but most of all her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Kirby in 2013; her parents, and a son in law, Preston Todd Delph.

Survivors include her daughters, Bonnie Kirby Smith and Donna (the late Preston Todd) Delph; son, Carl Michael (Rita) Kirby; five grandchildren, Ashley (TJ) Senechal, Ricky Smith, Adam Delph, Casey Perry and Codey Perry; and seven great grandchildren, Aiden, Bentley, Lilly, Carly, Layla, Lily and Aidan.

Visitation is from 10:00 am to 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 10, 2021, at the Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Hebron. Funeral services to immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Erlanger.
