Nellie Carol Helton

Nellie Carol (Garnett) Helton, 77, of Verona, Kentucky passed away Friday, September 18, 2026, at the Madeira Healthcare Center, Madeira, Ohio. 

Carol was born on June 10, 1949, in Hebron, Kentucky to the late Leroy and Nellie (Shears) Garnett. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Ray Helton in 2011; and her parents. 

Survivors include a daughter, Lana (Chuck) Cain; three granddaughters, Mariah (Zach) Siren, Makayla Cain and Marisa (Maggie Blair) Cain; five great granddaughters, Maleah, Kalaiyah, Meekah, Amiyah and Sarayah; sister, Darlene (Mike) Kollstedt; and two brothers, Johnny (Brenda) Garnett and Danny Garnett. 

No Visitation. Graveside services to be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Hughes Chapel Cemetery, Union, Kentucky. Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Hebron is serving the family.
