Opal Elsbernd

Opal Beulah Courts Elsbernd, 90, of Elsmere, formerly of Covington, died Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare, Edgewood.

She was a homemaker, enjoyed sewing and quilting, was a member of St. John Church, Covington and attended St. Cecilia Church, Independence.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph H. Elsbernd in 1992 and her parents, Berchie and Grace Jordan Courts.

Survivors include daughter, Linda (the late Pete) Watson of Independence; sons, Joe (the late Susan) Elsbernd of Ludlow and Keith (Kim) Elsbernd and Ken (Brenda) Elsbernd, both of Independence; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

Visitation is Friday, August 22, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Covington (Main Street). Mass of Christian Burial is Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Church, Covington. Interment at St. John Cemetery, Fort Mitchell.
