Robert "Bob" L. Bowman, Jr., 84, of Gatlinburg, Tennessee, formerly of Burlington, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017, in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Bob was born on April 21, 1933, in Covington, Kentucky to the late Debbie Wilson and Robert L. Bowman, Sr. He served his country in the Army Airborne. Bob was a salesman for Jackson Bearing and Kentucky Motor Service and an avid fan of UK sports and the Cincinnati Reds. He was also a member of the Masons and a Kentucky Colonel.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Bertha M. White Bowman of Gatlinburg, Tennessee; daughter, Karen Garland of Gatlinburg, Tennessee; grandson, Travis F. (Peggy) Garland; and great grandchildren, Lilly, Kaitlyn, and Timmy.
A Memorial Service is Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Hebron, Kentucky. Burial of his cremains to follow at Petersburg Cemetery, Petersburg, Kentucky.
