Tom Henson

Tom Henson, 85, of Hebron, died Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at his residence.

Tom was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Hebron. He was a retired Car Man for L&N Railroad and he also retired from maintenance at the Boone County Board of Education. He owned Henson Trucking Company.

Tom enjoyed music, travel, reading and watching westerns.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alice Mae Rolph Henson; son, Marty Abdon; daughter, Paula Henson; and parents, Arthur S. and Grace Vandventer Henson.

Survivors include wife, Cathy Slayback Henson; sons, Steve (Darlene) Henson of Independence and Phil (Tammy) Henson of Hebron; daughters, Rita (Gil) Valter of Bainbridge, Georgia, Vera Brady (Steve Meinken) of Aberdeen, Ohio and Cheryl Koching of Dry Ridge; brother, Lee (Joyce) Henson of Hebron; sisters, Karen (Bill) Ogden of Union and Sue Henson of Hebron; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great great grandson.

Visitation is Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Hebron. Funeral service to follow at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home. Interment at Sand Run Cemetery, Hebron.
