Vincent Froelicher

June 22, 1949 — March 1, 2016

In remembrance of the life of Vincent Blakely Froelicher, known as Blake.

Blake was born on June 22, 1949 and lived most of his life in Northern Kentucky. He passed away on March 1, 2016 at his home in Petersburg, Kentucky where he was able to spend his final days, tenderly cared for and, surrounded by his family and friends.

He proudly served in the United States Army as a member of the 101st Airborne Rackkasan Battalion, serving two tours in Vietnam.

Blake was a diehard UK fan and a quiet man who enjoyed nothing more than just spending time with his family and friends. As a young man he was Hell on Wheels!

Blake was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Charlotte VonHandorf Froelicher; brother, Teddy; sisters, Estelle Nunn and Mary Rabe; and grandchildren, Maximus and Lily.

Survivors include daughters, April Froelicher, Colleen (Ronald) Bickers and Brittany Froelicher; son, Nicholas Froelicher; sisters, Faye (Joe) Mueller and Marie (John) Hall; brothers, Stan (Debbie) Froelicher and Joe (Peggy) Froelicher; 10 grandchildren, Breana, Kaylee, Taylor, Brandon, Abigail, Dylan, Xander, Presley, McKenna and Kailyn; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation is Monday, March 7, 2016 from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 p.m. at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Covington. Funeral services to immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment, with military honors, at St. John Cemetery, Fort Mitchell.

In Lieu of Flowers, the family would like for donations of seedlings, plants, bushes, perennials or seeds to start a Memorial Garden in Blake’s memory.

Also Blake wanted people to be comfortable at his services and nothing would have pleased him more than for guests to wear their favorite UK shirt.
