William “Dan” Rice I, 66, of Burlington, Kentucky, died Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Health Care Hospice, Edgewood, Kentucky.
He was owner of Rice Pallet in Burlington and member of First Baptist Church, Ludlow.
Dan is survived by his wife of forty-six years, Carrol Fay Casteel Rice, daughter, Carrol Lee (Abelardo) Perez of Burlington, brothers, Norman L. (Deborah) Rice of Walton, James M. (Denise) Rice of Florence and sister Mary (Ed) Combs of Bromley. Also surviving are grandchildren, Andrew Rice, Victor Rice-Perez, Adelaida Rice-Perez and Isabel Rice-Perez.
Preceding in death were sons, Bill and Ben Rice, brothers Dee and Paul Rice, sister Mae Ashcraft and his parents,Samuel Patton and Grace Katherine Johnson Rice.
