Joy Hatfield

Joy Elaine (Semrau) Hatfield, 95, of Burlington, formerly of Chicago, passed away Friday, December 24, 2021 at Florence Park Care Center.

She was a retired officer and vault manager with Public Federal Savings and Loan Association in Calumet City Illinois. She was a member of Faith Church in Dyer, Indiana and enjoyed gardening, bible study, motorcycling, traveling and roller skating. Joy was also a seamstress and a member of the Red Hat Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter H. and Ivy Bell (Laune) Semrau; and siblings, Flora O’Brien, Carl Semrau, Evelyn Page, Marvin Semrau and Melvin Semrau.

Survivors include her husband, Arthur “Art” Hatfield; daughters; Linda Lee (Ken) Riley, Joy Bell (Chris) Valente and Ruth (Joe) Maroun; and grandchildren, Amanda and Joyce.

Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
